Guide for Applicants

Read the Guidelines

Before starting the application, we strongly recommend reading the program Guidelines in full. 

The guidelines explain:

  • Eligibility criteria
  • What the funding can be used for
  • Application requirements
  • Assessment criteria you need to address.

Important to Note:

  • One application per organisation may be submitted to the Grants Program.  Ensure you select the relevant funding stream to apply to.
  • Incomplete applications and/or late applications will not be considered.

Allow sufficient time to prepare and submit your application before the closing date and time.

Getting started

You may require the following to complete your application: 

  • Review the Guidelines to confirm your organisation & project eligibility.
  • Prepare a detailed budget, including all expenditure items, income sources and show your matching contribution. 
  • Provide a dollar-for-dollar matching contribution (cash &/or In-kind)
  • Evidence of a cash contribution.  Bank statement for all applications; For grant requests over $5,000 also include a Treasurer's report.
  • Public Liability Insurance Certificate of Currency for project activities (not required for minor, non-fixed equipment purchases)
  • Quote/s for project expenses equal to the value of the grant request and the matching cash contribution.
  • Support letters from partners or stakeholders involved in the project (optional).
  • Letter of consent from an Auspice organisation (for non-incorporated organisations).
  • Landowner consent if you do not own or manage the land, infrastructure or asset, and the activity is not covered by a management agreement or lease. 
  • Public Art proposals need to show evidence of discussion with Council's Economy & Creative Industries Manager and obtained in-principle support.
  • Research permits or approvals required for your project (if applicable).
  • ABN or ATO Statement by a Supplier
  • Ensure previous Acquittal report is completed. If outstanding, contact the Grants Officer before proceeding.
