Guide for Applicants

Refer to the program Guidelines for information on the funding streams, eligibility, what may be funded and requirements for the application.

NOTE:   One application per organisation may be submitted to the Grants Program.  Select the most relevant funding stream to apply to.

Incomplete applications and/or late applications will not be considered.

Getting started

You may require the following to complete your application.

  • Check eligibility in the Guidelines 
  • Prepare the budget - list all Expenditure items and Income sources (add comments if income source is not confirmed).
  • A dollar-for-dollar matching contribution is required. This may be cash, or cash/in-kind for eligible community activities that directly relates to delivery of the event.   
  • Evidence of the cash contribution.  A bank statement is required for all applications and if grant request is over $5,000 also provide a copy of the Treasurer's report or audited  financial statements.
  • Public Liability Insurance Certificate of Currency for the event.
  • Quotation/s required for the event expenses for the value of the grant amount requested and your contribution. Mark 'X' against the items the grant would pay for.
  • Letters of Support, if partners or other key stakeholders are involved in the event.
  • Non-incorporated organisations will require a letter of consent from an Auspice.
  • Contact the Event Officer to determine permit requirements & processing timeframes.
  • ABN or ATO Statement by a Supplier
  • All previous Acquittal Reports are completed. If there is an outstanding Acquittal please contact the Grants Officer before proceeding with the application.
